It is advisable to wait at least 20 days before acting on your radon measurement for two reasons. First, radon levels fluctuate due to home ventilation and weather changes, so a longer measurement period provides a more accurate average. A short-term test might not capture the full picture. Second, it can take a few days to a month for the average level to stabilise within ±10% accuracy, with higher levels stabilising faster. Thus, waiting at least 20 days ensures more reliable results before taking action. Generate a radon report as evidence for low levels when selling your home.
